Every September as the crowds begin to disperse, yet with weather remaining quite pleasant, supporters of the Nantucket Land Council come together for a delightful evening. A simple event, with dinner and cocktails, this fundraiser is renowned as one of the most enjoyable on Nantucket.

Featuring live jazz, (past performers include Peter Watrous, Andy Bullington, Eric Wendelken and Tom Stoddard) guests will be well-entertained at the 2011 Annual Dinner, which will be held at the Straight Wharf Restaurant. Straight Wharf has long been known for its creative cuisine, thanks to chef/owners Amanda Lydon and Gabrield Frasca and general manager Scott Fraley. In addition to its stunning harbor sunset views and offering an outstanding dining experience, Straight Wharf is the first and only Certified Green Restaurant on the island of Nantucket. Tickets are $1,000 per person, and $850 is tax-deductible.

The 2011 Annual Dinner is scheduled for Labor Day Monday, September 5th.
